Thoughts on a 24/7 D/s relationship

 

24/7 does not mean kneeling naked at Master's feet. It does mean following Master's orders/wishes. This has all been said.

However what has not been said is the responsibility of the Master in this situation. A good Master should know the realities of day to day lives and structure rules accordingly. Of course most Masters would want their slave to run around nude or scantily dressed all day. However going nude to the grocery store or to work serves no one's best interest. Therefore the rules must be set by the Master accordingly. They should allow for the day to day things that happen. A Master in a 24/7 would have to make sure all of His preferances are set forth. For example: when in BDSM setting when the slave must serve a drink they will kneel, run the rim around their nipple, kiss the rim and offer it to Master. Ok great. Sounds like fun in private time or at the dungeon! Reality: When serving Master slave shall discreetly kiss the rim and offer to Master with a very slight bow of the head. I have seen this done. The kids never noticed it as anything other than a sign of affection. Instead of calling Master by the formal Master such and such a shorting of the name to appropriate situations. At times when the Master is passing by the slave perhaps a simple slap on the ass, grab of the hair, can be a reminder of the 24/7 situation. Little whispers into the ear unexpectedly can have a wonder effect as a reminder.

There are many ways of carrying a 24/7 relationship. It all depends on the rules set forth and their intent. If you are rich and don't have to work then you may be able to be naked at Master's feet and such. For some it is getting throught the week until the kids can be sent to the babysitters so there can be play time, for others it can be just a normal vanilla appearing day to day but always knowing who is in charge.

The real test of a 24/7 is time. It takes time for the sub/slave to understand all the rules and wishes of a Master. Not only that but rules take time to develope. Some are set in stone but others may come and go according to the situation. I like to think of it as a fine wine that when properly tended gets better with age.
